NiSource electric generation, transmission and distribution positions offer opportunities to use the skills you already have while developing new skills that will let you build a satisfying career. NiSource employees are responsible for generating and delivering the electricity for nearly half a million customers in Northern Indiana, and members of this talented team fill roles such as construction helper, lineman, plant installment technician and plant electrician.
As part of the NIPSCO Electrical Operations team, you may read meters, install and repair power lines and equipment, respond to emergencies and help restore power, handle a variety of customer concerns, work at a power plant as a technician or plant operator, lay cable or identify and replace defective devices. For many of our technical positions, a two-year degree in a technical field or a minimum of two years of experience in a trade is required.
