Not everyone who helps provide energy to our customers climbs a power pole. Our administrative and professional positions support all functions of the business. In addition our environmental positions ensure the company is upholding its environmental respect principle. PacifiCorp seeks to balance low cost energy to customers with minimizing environmental impact.
Engineers are responsible for distribution, planning, delivery and support to help efficiently distribute energy services to customers using state-of-the-art technology. We have several disciplines including mechanical, electrical and civil engineers. Engineers complete studies, develop new processes, support the field and work on new construction projects throughout our service territory.
Our IT positions are comprised of a variety of skill sets and disciplines including Systems Analysts, UNIX specialists, Network Engineers, SAP Configuration Specialists, and more. We employ the top leading IT specialists to ensure that our grid and network are secure and running smoothly.
Our traders, schedulers, originators, analysts and economists work together to ensure the balance between PacifiCorp’s energy resources and energy demand at all times. These positions are vital to ensuring the company utilizes the lowest cost energy sources to minimize costs to our customers.
Those in finance and accounting positions crunch the numbers to report on the company’s results and forecast our growth and development. Finance and accounting positions are typically located in Portland, Oregon and Salt Lake City, Utah; but there are some positions available throughout the six states we serve.
Customer service is an integral part of our business and we are constantly learning new ways to be more customer service focused. Our call centers in Portland and Salt Lake City provide superior service 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Positions include customer service associates, call center support and specialized positions for our commercial and industrial customers.
PacifiCorp’s Regulation department is responsible for preparing, filing and defending all regulatory filings in the Company’s six state jurisdictions. Regulation is generally responsible for relationships with the utility regulatory commissions and all related filings, technical conferences and public meetings.
PacifiCorp powers the west through a variety of sources, including coal, wind, solar and natural gas. These positions are at the forefront of creating energy that is used by our neighbors, schools and businesses.
Our skilled workers include a variety of hands-on positions that truly “keep the lights on”. These positions consist of linemen, substation journeymen, electricians, heavy equipment operators, estimators, and other trade functions. Working in the field means you’ll be ensuring our neighbors, families and community always has energy at the flick of a switch.
