UniSource Energy Services (UES) provides safe, reliable natural gas and electric service to more than 700,000 residents in northern and southern Arizona. Our workforce, with about 350 employees, works to help improve the lives of our customers with services that provide comfort, convenience and security.

UES provides electric service in more than 91,000 customers in Mohave and Santa Cruz counties. UES delivers natural gas to about 150,000 customers in Santa Cruz, Mohave, Yavapai, Coconino and Navajo Counties.

Natural Gas Technician:

Natural gas technicians install and repair natural gas pipe systems and their controls. A natural gas technician can start with a high school diploma.

Installer:

An installer is responsible for transporting equipment to a job site and putting it together properly. There are many types of energy equipment that require installers, such as natural gas water heaters, photovoltaic panels, geothermal heat pump systems, etc. Installers can repair cables, wires, transmission and distribution equipment that power buildings. Power lines, solar water heaters, photovoltaic panels, geothermal heat pump systems and many more systems need installers.

Energy Auditor:
Energy auditors complete estimations and inspections for energy equipment and buildings’ construction to make them energy efficient. They prepare reports summarizing energy analysis results and recommendations for reducing energy costs. A high school diploma is necessary and a two year degree is optional.
Accountant:
Some accountants are directly involved in preparing an organization’s financial statements, doing payroll and paying bills. Other accountants work with a corporation’s management in analyzing costs of operations, products and special projects.
Engineer:

Engineers are problem-solvers who work with electricity grid diagrams, leading projects, collecting data, improving productivity and supporting environmental, health and safety activities. Electric and power engineers conduct research and design electrical systems. An engineering degree in electrical or mechanical engineering is required.

Solar Installer:

Solar photovoltaic installers assemble, install, or maintain solar PV systems on roofs or other structures in compliance with site assessment and schematics. May include measuring, cutting, assembling, and bolting structural framing and solar modules. May perform minor electrical work such as current checks. A high school diploma or GED is necessary and while most companies prefer some experience, many will provide on-the-job training.
