About Energy Safe Kids

Energy Safe Kids is a program of the National Energy Foundation. Funded in partnership with UGI.
The mission of Energy Safe Kids is to cultivate energy literacy by promoting the safe and wise use of electricity and natural gas. An Energy Safe Kid will Think! about energy issues, Talk! to adults about those issues and Take Action! when needed.
In the spirit of our mission of promoting energy related education and awareness in our communities, the National Energy Foundation (NEF), in partnership with UGI, is pleased to provide the Energy Safe Kids program and this collection of outstanding instructional materials. This program and its materials continually improve to further the many exciting advances in energy safety education and technology.

What Others Are Saying About Us
The kids were very excited about playing the online games. The material is real-world information that students will need to be safe in future situations. I would like to participate in the program each year.

We will really focus on the safety and the making natural gas for nonrenewable and renewable resources standards. It is a great way for students to connect beyond the classroom to something we are learning in science.
Elementary Teacher
This program got the kids really excited to share more with their parents today. My entire class was able to recite what to do if they see a downed power wire. They also really liked learning about the different flag colors as many were able to share that they have seen them around. Great engagement, lots of materials for families to explore.
