Columbia Gas of Virginia Energy Safe Kids Program

 

WHAT: Energy Safe Kids is a unique, highly engaging program (presentation is 45 – 60 minutes) designed to encourage 4th and/or 5th grade students to Think! about energy sources and how to be safe around them at home, school or outside. Students will learn the basics about energy and safety as well as receive a take-home safety booklet that encourages the student to live smart by following energy safety precautions at home and school. Each teacher will receive instructional posters and access to online supplemental lessons or activities. Materials support the state core content in Science, Social Studies and Common Core.

WHEN:   March 3 – March 14, 2025

LOCATION:   Your School – Our ENERGY EDUCATORS come into the classroom and teach the lesson for you!

GRADE:   4th and/or 5th grade

COST:   The presentation and all materials are at NO COST to the schools.
