WHAT: Energy Safe Kids is a unique, highly engaging program (approximately 45 minutes) designed to encourage 4th and 5th grade students to Think! about energy sources and how to be safe around them whether at home, at school or outside. Students will learn the basics about energy and safety as well as receive a take-home safety booklet that encourages the student to live smart by following energy safety precautions at home and at school. Each teacher will receive instructional posters and access to online supplemental lessons or activities. Materials are correlated to state core content in Science, Social Studies and Common Core.
